Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Health Services Specialist to join our team at Seaboard Triumph Food. This role will provide critical support in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and provide first aid to employees who are injured on the job, ensuring timely and effective medical care.
  • Accurately document and maintain workers' compensation records, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the health services department, worker's compensation manager, and operation management to ensure seamless coordination and updates on claimants.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all medical data in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Support all values and codes of conduct of the company at all times.
Requirements
  • Requires knowledge of emergency treatment and triage acquired through an emergency medical technician certification, nursing diploma, or equivalent.
  • Current certification to practice in the state of Iowa is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience in the field of emergency healthcare is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language, including safety files and medical terminology.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish are a must.
Work Environment

The work environment includes climate extremes found in all areas of plant operations. The employee is regularly exposed to cold/hot and/or humid conditions, and occasionally exposed to airborne particles, cold/hot temperature, and vibration.

The normal work schedule is Monday-Friday, with weekends as needed by operations and approved by management.
