Job Responsibilities:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an adjunct faculty member to instruct laboratory sections in the Department of Physics and Physical Science. This is a pool position, and applications will be utilized on an as-needed basis. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Instructing and monitoring assigned laboratory sections
  • Meeting all designated course instruction guidelines
  • Grading laboratory reports in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided
  • Responding to student inquiries within 24 hours
  • Submitting laboratory grades to course instructors according to College and Department policies

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree in a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience teaching introductory physics courses.
