Job Title: General Dentist

Mary's Center is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The General Dentist will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care, working collaboratively with our dental team, and adhering to our organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete routine and comprehensive oral examinations to diagnose dental disease and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain the quality of dental care, ensuring that all procedures are performed with the highest level of professionalism and expertise.
  • Deliver a range of dental services, including fillings, endodontics, extractions, partials, crowns, and bridges.
  • Diagnose and treat dental disease, oral pathology, and develop written treatment plans and prioritize treatments.
  • Provide ongoing dental education and training to our dental team.
  • Document all interventions and services provided to patients, ensuring accurate and thorough records.
  • Oversee the dental hygienist and dental assistant on duty, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Consult on the purchase of dental equipment and supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure best practices in the delivery of dental services and other services offered at Mary's Center.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of an ADA-accredited dental program and a DDS/DMD degree.
  • Certification through the DEA and a valid Washington DC license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
