Dental Care Specialist

Job Summary:The General Dentist will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care, working collaboratively with our dental team, and adhering to our organization's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete routine and comprehensive oral examinations to diagnose dental disease and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain the quality of dental care, ensuring that all procedures are performed with the highest level of professionalism and expertise.
- Deliver a range of dental services, including fillings, endodontics, extractions, partials, crowns, and bridges.
- Diagnose and treat dental disease, oral pathology, and develop written treatment plans and prioritize treatments.
- Provide ongoing dental education and training to our dental team.
- Document all interventions and services provided to patients, ensuring accurate and thorough records.
- Oversee the dental hygienist and dental assistant on duty, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Consult on the purchase of dental equipment and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure best practices in the delivery of dental services and other services offered at Mary's Center.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completion of an ADA-accredited dental program and a DDS/DMD degree.
- Certification through the DEA and a valid Washington DC license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
