Position Summary:

We are in search of a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our participants. In this role, you will provide a variety of services that empower individuals to lead more fulfilling lives. Our organization is deeply committed to promoting individual growth and development, and we support our participants and their families throughout their journey.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will assist participants with diverse physical, intellectual, and developmental challenges. You will collaborate closely with participants to identify their unique needs and aspirations, crafting personalized care plans that help them reach their fullest potential.

Our services are designed to meet the specific needs and goals of our participants, equipping them with the necessary tools for success. You will provide support in areas such as independence, inclusion, vocational assistance, and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include helping participants develop essential life skills, such as light cooking, medication management, and personal hygiene. Additionally, you will facilitate the development of communication and social skills through engaging activities, promoting community integration and social interaction. Qualifications:

We seek individuals who possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional support and care for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a genuine desire to serve those in need.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED. If you do not possess either qualification, our supervisors can assess your skills and certify your ability to perform essential job functions such as documentation and reading comprehension.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to starting).
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, active auto insurance policy, and a clean driving record.
  • Proof of tuberculosis clearance within the past year (or clearance prior to starting). Full Life Hawaii will assist you in obtaining your clearance.
  • Experience in caregiving, special needs, or CNA/RN preferred but not required. We provide training and development for the right candidate.
