Job Overview
Shriners Hospitals for Children is recognized as a leading medical center specializing in pediatric burn care, orthopaedics, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and various pediatric subspecialties.
Responsibilities
- The Inpatient RN will coordinate nursing care, which includes direct patient care, education for patients and families, and managing transitions of care within a collaborative, family-oriented setting.
- The RN will uphold professional nursing practices across various settings and throughout the continuum of care to address the needs of patients and their families.
- This role will involve leadership responsibilities, acting as both an informal and formal leader, preceptor, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Two years of experience in acute care nursing
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
