Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Carolina Legal Associates. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of the litigation process, from maintaining case documents and databases to drafting and answering interrogatories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and service of pleadings
  • Maintaining case documents and databases
  • Reviewing case documents and preparing case chronologies
  • Preparing the first draft of discovery, including drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit
  • Drafting and serving subpoenas
  • Legal document preparation and drafting, including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and SC Civil Procedure requirements
  • Comfortable with state and federal e-filing
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate
  • 2-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal at a law firm
  • Excellent customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone
  • Strong personal work ethic and ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize caseload and daily tasks
  • Ability to work overtime
