Key Responsibilities

The HR Consultant will be responsible for developing Affirmative Action Plans and associated reports for a diverse range of employers. This role includes providing expert consulting on Affirmative Action principles and facilitating training sessions.

  1. Develop and finalize Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1 reports, VETS-4212 reports, and other compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to quality and profitability standards.
  2. Guide new clients through data and compliance requirements essential for the development of their Affirmative Action Plans.
  3. Offer expert advice on Affirmative Action strategies, compliance needs, and implementation processes through ongoing communication and meetings.
  4. Assist in preparing audit-ready Affirmative Action Plans under the guidance of senior consultants.
  5. Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored HR solutions that align with their business objectives.
  6. Conduct quality reviews of Affirmative Action Plans to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
  7. Provide mentorship and feedback to junior HR Consultants on project assignments.
  8. Lead training sessions on balanceAAP software and fundamental Affirmative Action Planning.
  9. Participate in large-scale consulting projects, collaborating with teams on multiple plans.
  10. Create industry-related content, including blogs and webinars, to share knowledge and insights.
  11. Engage in industry-related meetings and professional development activities to stay informed on regulatory changes.
  12. Document project progress and maintain records using internal management tools.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Affirmative Action regulations and principles.
  • Familiarity with balanceAAP or similar software is preferred.
  • Solid grasp of human resources concepts and employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years in human resources, with at least 2 years focused on Affirmative Action.

Educational Background

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

HR certification is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $76,500 - $85,000 annually.
