About the Role:

The W Management Group LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Resident Escort. As a Resident Escort, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to our residents during their daily activities.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of residents. This may involve escorting residents to and from various locations within the assisted living facility, such as dining areas, activity rooms, therapy sessions, and medical appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation and Escort Services: Safely and gently escort residents to and from various locations within the assisted living facility, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Assistance with Mobility Devices: Assist residents with mobility devices, such as walkers or wheelchairs, as needed, to promote independence and mobility.
  • Emotional Support and Companionship: Provide a friendly and empathetic presence, offering emotional support and companionship to residents during their journeys.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with nursing and caregiving staff to ensure the timely and efficient movement of residents.
  • Safety and Confidentiality: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent any accidents or injuries during transportation, and maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare or senior care setting is preferred.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with residents, families, and staff members.
  • Compassionate and Patient-Oriented Mindset: A compassionate and patient-oriented mindset is crucial for providing high-quality care and support to residents.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including pushing wheelchairs and assisting residents with mobility, is essential.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary for prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: The ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing situations is essential for success in this role.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: The position of Resident Escort requires standing, walking, and pushing residents for extended periods.
  • Exposure to Healthcare Settings: The role may involve exposure to various healthcare settings and environments within the assisted living facility.
  • Lifting and Assisting: Patient Escorts may need to lift or assist in lifting residents when necessary.
  • Flexibility and Availability: The job may require working during evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the facility's needs.
