The Finance Business Partner will join the Financial Planning & Performance Team in Houston, Texas, working collaboratively with the Clean Ammonia Project to proactively deliver insight and create opportunities that drive sustainable competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the key value drivers of the project and hold the project accountable for driving optimized outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with customers to proactively deliver insight and create opportunities that drive sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Effectively communicate value opportunities and influence decision-makers to select more value-accretive outcomes.
  • Support the business across all activities, providing routine and non-routine analysis that underpins financial recommendations and outcomes.
  • Prepare and present management reports, including analysis and commentary on monthly financial performance against budget and forecast for key stakeholders.
  • Support the business in the expenditure approval process, including reviewing business proposals and providing guidance on Woodside's Manual of Authorities (MOA).
  • Coordinate the annual expenditure budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes and provide analysis to support internal approvals.
  • Provide accounting guidance to the business, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and expenditure approval processes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial business process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with other Finance teams and business stakeholders to drive financial performance and deliver insights by understanding costs and value drivers.
  • Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives, including identification and validation.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate commitment to and alignment with the Woodside Values.
  • Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize varying demands, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of the costing process, residuals, recoveries, and rates and how they impact the business.
  • Strong financial and commercial analytical skills.
  • Experience within the oil and gas industry (preferred).
  • Strong commercial acumen, entrepreneurial mindset, analytical/IT skills, and accountability for results and contributions to the team.
  • Broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a multi-cultural team environment.
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken), with additional language skills desirable.
