Position Overview

Job Title: Women Stability Advisor

Location: Carlisle Barracks, PA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical and functional guidance to leadership on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) and gender-related matters.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of operations, initiatives, and activities.
  • Lead the implementation of educational and training programs regarding WPS strategy requirements, alongside the development of monitoring and evaluation metrics.
  • Integrate a communication strategy and advocacy plan developed by public affairs into the implementation plan.
  • Contribute to the formulation of short, mid, and long-term operational plans, assessments, collective training, exercises, mission execution, and situational awareness.
  • Review and provide recommendations on drafts of plans, frameworks, legislation, and development documents to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support the development of the Army framework and plan for the effective implementation of the WPS Strategy.
  • Act as a functional manager for gender perspectives, assessing and analyzing future developments and organizational structures.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as:
    • Human Resources
    • Gender Studies
    • Sociology
    • International Relations
  • A master's degree is required.
  • Completion of a professional military education course is necessary.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a role with the US Armed Services, the Department of Defense, or a similar large organization is essential.
