About the Role
The Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis is a key member of our finance team, responsible for strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting, and financial reporting & analysis across the finance portfolio. This role requires a collaborative mindset to bring value to our business partners and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and facilitate the understanding of operational and financial requirements for business partners during the budgeting process.
- Supervise monthly closing activities to ensure accurate accruals and expenses are recorded in our financial systems.
- Analyze monthly performance results and develop commentary on variances, including a clear understanding of their impact on business performance.
- Develop and distribute reporting in conjunction with the Finance team leader, providing clear analytical results for business partners and stakeholders.
- Develop KPI metrics and other tools to evaluate performance across the business.
- Build effective business relationships throughout the organization, including department and product managers, to provide financial support.
- Work with the Finance team leader to develop and implement new processes, procedures, and/or systems to improve organization efficiencies and cost controls.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with an MBA or CPA preferred but not required. A minimum of 4 years of general work experience and 1 year of experience in accounting and/or Financial Planning and Analysis-related work, and/or pharmaceutical/R&D experience is required.
Travel
Ability to travel up to 10% for accounting conferences/training, etc.
