Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and address imperfections including cracks, blisters, and aesthetic flaws.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all components for quality assurance and rectify any identified issues.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to grind out defective areas and smooth rough surfaces.
  • Prepare fiberglass, resins, and damaged sections for effective repair.
  • Shape and refine edges to ensure proper contour alignment.
  • Cut and apply materials as needed for various projects.
  • Buff and polish surfaces post-repair to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Execute both minor and major repairs on damaged surfaces.
  • Employ pneumatic spray guns to apply chopped fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto prepared molds.
  • Refinish diverse surfaces within commercial settings.
  • Estimate repair durations, plan material requirements, and coordinate tasks with management.
  • Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently across multiple tasks and crafts.
  • Organize and manage tools and equipment necessary for daily operations.
  • Engage with clients to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) pipefitting.
  • Proficient in reading ISO pipe drawings and translating them into raw pipe fittings in FRP/Fiberglass/Composite/Thermoplastic.
  • Strong basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and tape measures.
  • Experience using powered tools including drills and saws.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of interacting professionally with a diverse workforce.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be adaptable to various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to see clearly at different distances for various tasks.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Dexterity to operate specialized tools and equipment.
  • Ability to reach overhead and perform bending or crouching tasks.
  • Physical strength to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to climb ladders and work at heights as required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
