Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Care Manager to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, while also providing exceptional resident care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individual care plans and physician orders.
  • Resident Care: Provide exceptional care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
  • Risk Management and General Safety: Identify and report any potential safety hazards or risks to residents, staff, and visitors, and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
  • Training and Contributing to Team Success: Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge, and contribute to the success of our team by sharing your expertise and experience with colleagues.
Requirements
  • LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
  • Maintain certifications and ongoing training and re-education as required by Sunrise and state/provincial regulations.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interest.
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
