Job Title: Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

Child Focus Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services to young children and their families.

Job Summary

The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant will provide programmatic, classroom, and individual prevention/consultation services to early learning centers, parents, and children. This position will be served under the federal initiative of Whole Child Matters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services to young children and their families, with a focus on prevention and early intervention.
  • Conduct observations and strengths/needs assessments to identify areas of support.
  • Collaborate with child care centers to address at-risk/challenging behaviors and safety planning.
  • Assist young children in achieving social/emotional and academic success through collaboration with early learning educators and school administration.
  • Educate parents about infant and early childhood mental health and facilitate access to community mental health resources and treatment services.
  • Ensure timely documentation of all activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • License Preferred: LSW, LPC, MFT, OCPSA, OCPSS, OCPC.
  • Required Experience: Experience providing mental health services, with preference for experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children (0-8).
