We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician II to join our team at Cox Automotive. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of truck equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, brake, and cooling systems, as well as starters, alternators, and engine electronics.
- Participate in regular safety training and maintain a culture of safety and compliance.
- Document work performed, parts used, and findings observed on repair orders using company-issued devices and proprietary applications.
- Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office products and other communication methods.
- Manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service trucks and perform periodic maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license and meeting Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a power technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
- Safe driving and tech efficiency bonuses.
- Safety boots and safety glasses reimbursement.
- Extreme weather gear (cold and hot).
- Uniforms provided with laundry service where available.
