We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Night Auditor to join our team at Wingate by Wyndham Charleston Airport. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions, as well as providing exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities- Audit, post, and balance daily cashiers' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
- Verify all account entries are balanced, and settle any discrepancies to appropriately settle guest accounts.
- Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists and verify cash postings to ensure accuracy.
- Compile and organize daily turn of hotel and paperwork associated with all transactions as set forth by management.
- Greet all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Complete guest registration and check-out procedures.
- Answer telephone calls, transfer calls, and take messages when applicable.
- Makes hotel reservations for guests, including changes and cancellations.
- Maintain accurate bank during shift and use correct vouchers for specified transactions.
- Respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely fashion.
- Follow-up to ensure guest requests have been responded to appropriately and to guest satisfaction.
- Experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred.
- Significant attention to detail is required.
- Ability to operate front desk equipment, including computers, switchboards, credit card machines, etc.
- Understanding of basic math skills is necessary.
- Good verbal and guest interaction skills are essential.
- Collect money and issue change where applicable.
- Ability to work as a cohesive team member, relaying information appropriately from shift to shift.
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
