Tax Compliance Specialist

Hospitality starts with a strong foundation of financial expertise. At IR Management LLC, we're seeking a detail-oriented Tax Auditor to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to ensure compliance with tax regulations, conduct audits, and provide recommendations to optimize tax strategies across our hospitality operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze financial records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Prepare for internal and external tax audits by gathering necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare monthly tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in submissions.
- Identify potential areas of tax risk and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Stay updated on tax legislation and industry trends that may impact the hospitality sector.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide training and support to staff on tax-related matters and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in tax auditing or a similar role, preferably within Food & Beverage and lodging industry.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels, particularly in food and beverage and lodging tax.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills.
- Minimal travel, based on business needs.
