This position is part of our Product Development team, which is responsible for designing and developing products for our stores. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Development Manager to drive a cohesive brand vision and ensure that products meet our assortment strategies, price points, and overall creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the design and product development of home textiles products, including bedding, bath, living room, and kitchen items
  • Lead research and design for home textiles products
  • Review and comment on lab dips, strike-offs, and hand-looms for layout and execution
  • Create seasonal color palettes and presentation materials for milestone meetings
  • Create original artwork for home textiles products
  • Re-color existing artwork, create colorways, and adjust scale for different home textiles products
  • Active participant in product packaging needs and product attributes
  • Sketch designs in Illustrator (flats) and communicate construction details to Tech Design and Sourcing counterparts
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining PLM packages and CAD Assortment Line Sheets
  • Lead in Sample Reviews for specified Own Brand
  • Lead communication to all cross-functional partners in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
  • 5-7 years of experience in Apparel Fashion Design or Apparel Product Development
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Keen eye for color, trend, detail, and construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply market/trend information
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Basic industry knowledge of design, garment construction, and textiles
