Speech Pathologist Opportunity

Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice and high-acuity care, is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team.

About the Role
  • As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with patients in their homes, providing aural rehabilitation and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
  • You will also assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
  • Our team is dedicated to helping patients and families navigate the complex healthcare system.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' communication skills and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Current CPR certification.

  • One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.
