Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, setting measurable goals and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure progress.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies to address specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and educators, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, providing guidance on strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
