About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled research intern to join our team at the Bosch Research and Technology Center North America. As a research intern, you will be working on cutting-edge projects at the intersection of robotics, embodied AI, multimodal machine learning, and natural language processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and evaluate methodologies for multimodal machine learning and robotics research
  • Develop algorithms for simulated and real-world robotics tasks, such as interactive object perception and instruction-following
  • Collaborate with internal industrial colleagues and academic collaborators to advance the state-of-the-art in robotics and AI
  • Contribute to the preparation of industrial patents and publish research papers in top conference venues
Requirements
  • Strong background in machine learning, with emphasis on multimodality and representation learning
  • Strong background in robotics or embodied artificial intelligence
  • Extensive experience in from-scratch neural model implementation and data analytics toolkits
  • Experience in implementing, training, and evaluating the performance of CV models, NLP models, and policies
  • Experience in software development in Python on Linux-based systems
  • Experience in training neural models on multi-machine or multi-GPU setups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leveraging Large Language Models, Vision-Language Models, and/or foundation models
  • Strong theoretical background in AI/ML/Robotics topics, such as representation learning and transfer learning
