Your Role

WSP is seeking an Early Career Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects within our Earth & Environment Team and be part of a dynamic organization dedicated to fulfilling client objectives and overcoming challenges.Your Contributions

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will:

  • Conduct engineering investigations and provide design support under the guidance of senior engineering professionals.
  • Execute laboratory and field tests in accordance with established procedures, processes, and standards.
  • Collect soil samples, prepare them for testing, document data, and compile summary reports.
  • Observe and document routine construction activities and generate field reports.
  • Assist and monitor contractor operations on construction projects while interacting with clients, contractors, or subcontractor representatives as needed.
  • Perform various non-technical tasks to support others in preparing for and conducting office, laboratory, or field activities.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-1 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent analytical capabilities, leadership potential, and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with discipline-specific design software such as AutoCAD, GINT, Slide, etc.
  • FE/EIT certification (or the ability to obtain EIT within one year) is required.
  • A valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Some prior experience in field and laboratory testing, geotechnical drilling, or construction inspection.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and practices.
