DRMP's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Division is actively seeking qualified Transportation Technicians and CEI Inspectors at various experience levels to enhance our team.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Transportation Technician plays a crucial role in executing intricate technical tasks related to field surveying and construction layout. Key responsibilities include:
- Documenting daily contractor activities.
- Preparing project field books and maintaining accurate records.
- Conducting material sampling and testing.
- Assisting in the preparation of final estimates.
- Measuring distances to ensure construction accuracy.
- Verifying levels, alignment, and elevation of construction work.
- Monitoring ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collecting and preparing material samples for laboratory analysis.
- Evaluating the quality of completed installations.
- Tracking quantities of materials used or received.
- Maintaining a daily log of construction and inspection activities.
Successful candidates will possess:
- A high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in construction inspection, including at least one year in roadway or bridge construction.
- An Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology along with two years of relevant experience, including one year in roadway construction inspection.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Completion of the Critical Structures Construction Issues Self-Study Course.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Applicants should hold a comprehensive set of certifications, including:
- QMS Roadway
- Concrete
- ABC Sampling
- Borrow Pit Sampling
- QMS Density
- ABC Density
- Conventional Density
- EC Level 2
- DOT Intermediate MOT
