JOB SUMMARY

Sunnyside is looking for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at the dispensary. The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in meeting and exceeding the needs of our patients by providing exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge.

CORE JOB DUTIES
  • Dispense medical cannabis products according to physician recommendations.
  • Conduct individual consultations to identify the most suitable therapies based on patient needs.
  • Manage inventory control and ensure proper rotation of stock.
  • Oversee and review state prescription monitoring requirements.
  • Adhere to state regulations governing the medical cannabis program.
  • Maintain accurate records and remove expired or damaged products from inventory.
  • Supervise support staff and ensure compliance with pharmacist registration.
  • Uphold a safe and clean working environment by following established procedures and regulations.
  • Enhance pharmacological knowledge through continuous education and professional development.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing content as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting assisting patients/customers.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of New York.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Completion of any state-mandated Medical Cannabis education programs.
  • Ability to comprehend cannabinoids and their effects on the human body.
  • Effective collaboration with colleagues, management, patients, and community members.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the cannabis industry.
