Key Responsibilities of the Oncology Industry Liaison Specialist

  • Coordinate activities related to the Pharmaceutical Industry, both internally and externally, by collaborating with various teams and partners, such as grants and contracts, clinical operations, protocol development, lab science, data management, and statistical teams, as well as study and committee chairs.
  • Support business development efforts, including contract negotiation with Pharmaceutical Industry partners, providing approved scopes of work, budgets, and contract reviews to the contracts office.
  • Monitor and manage contract deliverables for Pharmaceutical Industry partners, ensuring compliance with timelines and overseeing updates, accruals, drug requests, and protocol amendments through the designated portal.
  • Facilitate the involvement of international entities on protocols, manage third-party drug distributors, vendors, and perform other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications of the Oncology Industry Liaison Specialist

  • 5+ years of experience in oncology clinical trials
  • Management experience along with knowledge of clinical operations and business development activities
  • Experience and knowledge of grants, budgeting, contracts, protocol development process, NCI, cooperative group trials, and working with pharmaceutical industry partners is required
  • Bachelor's Degree required; RN and/or RPh/PharmD preferred

Compensation for the Oncology Industry Liaison Specialist

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000
