Pharmaceutical Care Specialist

The Pharmaceutical Care Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.
- Dispense prescription medications and provide accurate information to patients regarding their use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Conduct medication reviews and patient assessments to identify and resolve medication-related issues.
- Provide guidance to healthcare providers on medication selection, dosage, and administration.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication therapy.
- Stay informed about new medications, treatment protocols, and pharmacy laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- License as a pharmacist in the relevant province or state.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of pharmacotherapy and clinical guidelines
