Valve Manufacturing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of our operations team, you will engage in a range of tasks focused on the assembly of new valves and the disassembly of valves requiring repair. Your role will also encompass setting up tests to verify that our valves adhere to stringent quality and operational standards. This position involves working with highly specialized custom-engineered products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute assembly and disassembly of new valves, as well as repair existing valves.
2. Conduct tests on valves to ensure compliance with established standards.
3. Prepare detailed inspection reports for any materials returned for authorization.
4. Offer guidance and execute necessary repairs to resolve operational issues.
5. Provide accurate assessments of labor and materials required for repairs to facilitate quoting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Intermediate proficiency with various hand tools
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Familiarity with high-pressure and steam testing

Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of experience in assembly and disassembly
- Eligibility to obtain a Department of Defense issued Confidential Security Clearance or have held a Security Clearance within the last 24 months.
- Experience as a Nuclear Navy Machinist Mate is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
