Job Overview

Segula Technologies is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team in Wichita, KS. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to General Work Requirements, including factory, shop, and hangar positions
  • Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures, participating in 5-S activities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
  • Operate ground support equipment as needed
  • Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
  • Assist other maintenance disciplines
Requirements
  • Avionics or electrical A/C technical school or equivalent
  • Typically 0-2 years of avionics work experience or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status
  • Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools
  • Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
  • Must be able to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled work days and holidays
  • Must be able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable)
  • A Certification if required by customer (Commercial Aircraft)
  • A Certification, P Certification, or A & P Certificate
  • GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate
  • Experience on corporate jet aircraft/commercial aircraft
  • Basic PC skills
