Responsibilities

As a Business Development Representative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively researching and sourcing potential new business leads through cold calling and emails.
  • Scheduling in-person meetings and presenting physician recruiting services to decision-makers (C-Suite).
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Promoting company services to existing and prospective accounts.
  • Learning the business and marketplace of physician recruitment.
  • Researching and staying up-to-date with market and business trends in physician recruitment.
  • Achieving daily and monthly metrics set for calls and meetings.
  • Shadowing territory managers on presentations to physician recruiting decision-makers (C-Suite).
  • Becoming proficient in giving company presentations of services.
  • Traveling with territory managers within the Midwest region (10-20% of the time).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales (required); 5+ years of sales experience without a Bachelor's degree (required).
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare staffing sales (preferred).
  • Proven success in securing new business (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and computer skills (required); Salesforce experience (preferred).
  • Excellent prospecting, cold calling, face-to-face presentations, and closing skills with the ability to produce results in a high-pressure, time-sensitive, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Confident, energetic, and professional presence (required): ability to effectively build relationships, overcome objections, and close business with C-Suite/Medical Professionals.
  • Interpersonal, strategic communication, and relationship-building skills (required).
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment within defined procedures for best results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Stable employment history with verifiable references.
  • A valid driver's license and no major driving violations.
