Associate Director of Transportation Services

The Associate Director of Transportation Services is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the planning, direction, and management of the University's transportation services. This includes the acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles across all departments at the University Park Campus.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and administer vehicle/equipment asset management processes from procurement to disposition.
- Support vehicle purchase specifications and purchase vehicles for all University departments.
- Establish and monitor purchasing, operational, and replacement strategies and practices for most cost-effective operation.
- Conduct independent business analytics to support coherent, practical, and balanced fleet and technical services programs.
- Administer a centralized fleet management information system across multiple university departments.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans focusing on fleet and technical service needs.
- Act as a resource cross-departmentally, providing objective views to problems and processes.
- Develop and administer fleet capital programs and prepare and support capital and operating budgets for equipment and facilities.
- Administer, communicate, and implement safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the University's safety vision and goals.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience, including three (3) years of supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
