About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers, providing timely communication and assistance as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Execute various manual labor functions, including picking inventory, counting cargo, and hand staging and loading goods, using manual equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks.
  • Material Coordination: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within assigned areas, preparing and assembling orders as needed.
  • Sorting and Placement: Manage the sorting and placement of materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequences, such as size, type, style, color, product code, and related characteristics.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift once certified and required, ensuring safe and efficient use of equipment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete or verify appropriate forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory, monitor and track material, and successful receiving and/or delivery of goods.
  • Hand Tool Operation: Operate hand tools to close or open bales, build or tear down crates, and other containers or material, ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Operational Support: Assist with identifying potential operational or service concerns, notify appropriate coworkers, and assist with resolving issues.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Monitor various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, cleaning docks, staging, packing, racking, and related storage areas, ensuring proper storage of equipment and basic preventative maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Forklift Certification typically required in most operations within 3 to 6 months of hire; Valid state-issued driver's license preferred.
  • Credentials: Basic proficiency in operating a computer; Ability to become forklift certified, when required.
  • Skills: Capable of operating hand and power tools and performing manual tasks; Ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs; Ability to perform in a team environment.
