About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist anesthesiologists in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare anesthesia machines and carts with required supplies prior to each case.
  • Assist in maintaining anesthesia and monitoring equipment, including ventilators and gas cylinders.
  • Perform inventory and order anesthesia medications, trays, and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure clean to dirty sanitation and standard infection control precautions are followed.
  • Actively participate in Quality Assurance and associated documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the anesthesiologist or department manager.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for anesthesia technology or equivalent experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED with two years of current Operating Room experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
