About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia support to anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals in the operating room, catheterization laboratory, and other patient care areas.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, including vital sign checks and review of patient medical history.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to develop and implement anesthesia plans, including medication administration and monitoring.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Anesthesia Technology or equivalent health-related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician, with certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
