About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Observation Care team at Deer Valley Med Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care services under the direct supervision of a licensed caregiver.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides patient-related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit.
  • Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
  • Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver.
  • Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
