Patient Care Technician, PCT

As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, ensuring a safe and clean working environment. You will also be responsible for educating patients on their treatment options and providing them with the necessary support to achieve their health goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
- Provide patient education on treatment options and health goals
- Conduct machine safety checks and report any unusual findings to the registered nurse or supervisor
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
- Support the organization's commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI Activities
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
