Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Family Therapist to join our team in providing comprehensive FFT services to families in need. As a Family Therapist, you will work closely with families to devise and implement FFT service plans, targeting behavioral change for youth via FFT methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake and assessments of assigned clients.
  • Develop and implement FFT service plans, strategies, and interventions for families.
  • Initiate and maintain regular contact with clients, conducting home visits and therapy sessions as needed.
  • Participate in FFT training, consultation, and case conferences to ensure high-quality services.
  • Maintain accurate records, statistical information, and outcome monitoring.
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide comprehensive services.
  • Provide case recommendations to Probation Monitor and other service providers as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in serving children and families in child welfare, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, primary health care, or social services.
  • Computer proficiency, including word processing skills and cultural competence.
  • Valid NYS Driver License and access to private transportation.
  • Background investigation and drug screen required.
