Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Trinity Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing consultation, evaluation, and occupational therapy services to patients.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will establish a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals following a functional evaluation for all patients. You will provide education to patients, family members, students, staff, and to the community at large. You will also coordinate services with other medical disciplines, making recommendations as appropriate to facilitate a complete rehabilitative process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides consultation, evaluation, and occupational therapy services to patients.
  • Establishes a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals following a functional evaluation for all patients.
  • Provides education to patients, family members, students, staff, and to the community at large.
  • Coordinates services with other medical disciplines, making recommendations as appropriate to facilitate a complete rehabilitative process.
  • Participates in Performance Improvement and Risk Management activities.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of occupational therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Certified as an Occupational Therapist by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New York.
  • Maintains current BLS/CPR certification.
Work Environment:

The Occupational Therapist will work in a clinical setting with exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:

The Occupational Therapist will be required to perform heavy work, including continual and repetitive motions, such as heavy lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, pushing, and prolonged walking and standing.

Supervision:

The Occupational Therapist will be supervised by a Service Coordinator or Manager.

Supervises:

The Occupational Therapist will supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides, Student Occupational Therapists, and/or Student Occupational Therapy Assistants after one year of clinical experience.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this position is $47.95 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.

The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
