Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at Northshore. As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, including interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients
  • Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources
  • Share healthcare duties with other physicians to ensure availability
  • Determine referrals and level of urgency for follow-up appointments
  • Exercise final medical judgment in all healthcare issues
  • Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
  • Order studies, tests, and ancillary services
  • Document all services in patient medical records
  • Review long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention
  • Consult with Medical Director and other professionals as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs
  • Oversee mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff
  • Assist in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations
  • Participate in teaching sessions for hospital and medical staff, residents, and medical students
Requirements
  • MD Medicine Required
  • Current DEA and all other required licenses as related to specialty
