Podiatry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, including examining, treating, and educating patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection.

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources
• Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure availability
• Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
• Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
• Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services
• Documents all services in patient medical record
• Reviews long-term cases that require ongoing medical attention
• Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed
• Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs
• Oversees mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff
• Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information
• Participates in teaching sessions for other hospital and medical staff, residents, and medical students

• MD Medicine Required
• Current DEA and all other required licenses as related to specialty
