Podiatry Specialist

Job Summary:

Northshore is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team in Elmhurst. As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing quality medical care to patients, including interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients. You will also educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection, and share healthcare duties with other physicians to ensure availability at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection
• Shares healthcare duties with other physicians
• Determines referrals and follow-up appointments
• Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of healthcare
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs
• Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services
• Documents all services in patient medical records
• Reviews long-term cases
• Consults with Medical Director and other professionals
• Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs
• Oversees mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff
• Assists in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information
• Participates in teaching sessions for other hospital and medical staff, residents, and medical students

Requirements:

• MD Medicine Required
• Current DEA and all other required licenses as related to specialty
