About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ECMO Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospital New Orleans. As an ECMO Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective care for neonates, infants, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, and young adults on ECMO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize advanced skills and training to access and manage patients on ECMO, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the ECMO Coordinator and Physicians to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in ECMO technology and procedures, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in critical care, preferably in a pediatric or neonatal setting.
  • Preferred: RN, RT, or Perfusionist certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
