Position Summary:
The Principal Radar Engineer will play a crucial role within the RF System Technologies Department, focusing on the development, integration, and testing of advanced radar systems.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in a wide range of activities related to phased array radar hardware and software, including:

  • Design and prototyping of radar systems
  • Integration and testing of hardware and software components
  • Analysis of radar performance and capabilities

Desired Expertise:
Candidates should possess experience in the following areas:

  • RF Design: Knowledge of Up/Down converters, oscillators, and phased array antenna performance.
  • Signal Processing: Skills in waveform design, matched filtering, and target feature extraction.
  • Calibration Techniques: Familiarity with both far-field and near-field calibration for AESAs.
  • Tracking Systems: Experience in designing and analyzing Kalman filters and detection-to-track associations.
  • Radar Resource Management: Understanding of scheduling techniques for optimal command of AESA front-end hardware.
  • RF Test Equipment: Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as Vector Network Analyzers and oscilloscopes.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in radar systems design and testing, or 10 years with a Master’s degree.

Candidates should demonstrate proven expertise in one or more of the specified areas.

Security Clearance:
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess (or be able to obtain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with demonstrated performance across all experience areas.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $122,000 to $220,900. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation.
