Job Summary

Advantage Metals Recycling LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector I to join our team. As an Inspector I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of materials processed at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and direct customers to the proper location to unload materials, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Inspect materials for the presence of flammable, radioactive, hazardous, and/or leaded materials, as well as non-acceptable materials such as propane tanks, PCBs, and batteries.
  • Ensure that any non-acceptable materials are not left on company property and are properly removed and stored.
  • Perform general duties involving physical handling of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • May assist other workers as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A 5-day work week with occasional overtime, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn operation of small equipment, such as forklifts and skid steers.
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with others and be part of the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in an industrial or outdoor work environment.
  • Working experience around large trucks and heavy equipment.
  • PC experience and processing monetary transactions.
  • Current ability to operate forklifts.
