New Flyer, a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses, is seeking a skilled Assembly Line Technician to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production line machinery, tools, and computers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain production line equipment, including machinery, tools, and computers.
- Perform equipment changeovers and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist with material handling and inventory management to ensure smooth production flow.
- Clean and maintain work areas, including tools and equipment, to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
