Position Overview:

This role requires extensive travel across the United States, allowing candidates to be based anywhere in the country.

Essential Experience:

Candidates must possess a solid background as a CONSTRUCTION MANAGER within the Utility Scale solar sector.

A prominent Solar Tracking manufacturer and installation firm is in search of a Construction Supervisor for Solar projects. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with subcontractors to implement their Tracking systems on large-scale ground-mounted solar installations nationwide.

Prior experience as a Field Engineer or Site Manager is relevant, focusing on overseeing both construction and administrative responsibilities on Utility Scale solar projects.

Compensation:

This is a salaried position with a compensation range of $90,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience, plus a daily per diem.

Benefits include holiday and vacation time.

This position is structured as a long-term contract with the potential for permanent hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance to clients on-site across the U.S., ensuring an exceptional customer experience and providing expertise to enhance customer value.
  • Interpret and apply construction schematics, including civil, structural, and electrical aspects, to support installation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and standards, preventing any operations from proceeding without proper safety measures.
  • Lead safety meetings, documenting and reporting outcomes.
  • Assist in project pre-planning, including reviewing plans, assessing manpower needs, sequencing tasks, and evaluating subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, and clients.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to develop accurate construction schedules and generate daily reports tracking progress, material deliveries, and other site activities.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, temporary labor, electricians, and staff to coordinate construction planning and quality control.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to personnel, temporary labor, and subcontractors regarding electrical and construction components.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Utility Scale SOLAR construction, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity as a Superintendent, Foreman, or hands-on Construction Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of construction mathematics and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Proven track record of maintaining client relationships.
  • Commitment to safe working practices.
  • Successful history of managing and delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Detail-oriented with a willingness to travel extensively.
  • Prior experience in solar energy is highly desirable.

Travel and Expenses:

All travel-related expenses, including hotel accommodations, flights, and per diem, will be covered by the company. A company vehicle will be provided during travel, along with a daily food per diem.
