InsideHigherEd is seeking a skilled Case Manager to provide support and guidance to students experiencing personal, academic, or vocational challenges. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in collaborating with campus constituencies to plan, implement, and coordinate care for students in need.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with campus stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive mental health care plans for students.
- Assist students with mental health services coordination and needs, including referral to community resources and facilitation of access to care.
- Provide clinical bridging services for students until linked with appropriate services.
- Monitor reports from on-call services and campus partners, update student files, and notify providers when relevant.
- Collect and analyze case management data to inform program development and improvement.
- Provide day-time and on-call after-hours crisis services, including emergency/crisis care in the form of triage services.
- Consult with faculty, staff, students, family members, and student guardians to develop and maintain comprehensive and multidisciplinary mental health care for students.
- Develop and maintain a clinical case-management system to monitor high-risk students.
- Prepare written clinical and other reports as required.
- Interpret and explain laws, regulations, and services to students.
- Relevant professional degree and licensure in the appropriate clinical field of psychology, social work, or mental health.
- Established commitment to culturally informed and responsive services.
- Candidate must possess strong clinical skills, strong risk assessment and case management, and experience in handling crisis situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work closely as part of a team.
- Experience in a college counseling center.
- Experience in coordination of referral services and triage.
- High-risk assessment and support skills.
