Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Sutter Health. As a Staff Nurse II, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the NICU, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Supervise and mentor other nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current California RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in NICU nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
