Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill neonates, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Current California RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic setting.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology systems.
- Charge nurse experience or leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and guiding team members.
This is a part-time position, working variable shifts, including nights and weekends. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
