Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Three Rivers Community Schools in St. Joseph County. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design, with the ability to create engaging lesson plans and foster a love of learning in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests that align with the district-provided curriculum.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
  • Provide feedback on student work and update records accurately.
  • Communicate student progress and needs to colleagues, parents, and students.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Michigan Teaching Certificate endorsement in Mathematics (EX) 6-12.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Work Environment:

The Mathematics Teacher will work in a traditional classroom environment, with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team setting.
