We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Intern at Freeport-McMoRan Inc.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Intern will assist in performing accounting and financial activities, including assembling financial statements, reviewing and verifying financial data, and developing monthly reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble interrelated financial statements and review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in analyzing financial operations and recommending enhancements to policies or procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the accounting team.

Requirements:

  • Full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university majoring in Accounting or a related field.
  • Recent college graduate with a degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

The Accounting Intern will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to meet deadlines. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $/hour. Individual pay rates will be based on level of education and relevant experience.
